A search was on for the Best Word Ever.
It had to be in the English grammar. It didn’t have to be funny or long. Just the Best Word Ever.
I sort of have a hard time disagreeing with that choice. I am trying to teach myself Koine Greek and diphthongs in Koine Greek actually are not that difficult and yet I stumble on them from time to time. So they probably mean more to me than to most reading this post. To paraphrase Donald Knuth, “The definition of diphthong? I’ll leave that as an exercise for you the reader.”
(You don’t know who Donald Knuth is? Seriously? Wow. Well, if you want to know who he is, I won’t tell you. I’ll leave that as an exercise for you the reader.)
